Hello, my name is Shadow, and I'm a three-year-old, 50-pound female Black Lab mix. I was found on Good Hope Road on May 31. I'm housetrained and I can sit for a treat. I'm affectionate and friendly to people and other dogs, and my good buddy Sheldon and I share a double kennel at the shelter. I'm easily trained to do lots of tricks, and I'll be devoted to my new family!

Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center has wonderful pets available for adoption.  As of December 6, all animals are now at the new shelter at 341 Birdneck Road.  The former shelter on Leroy Drive is now closed.  If you have lost a pet, please visit the shelter in person and often as lost animals arrive everyday.
