Friends of Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center volunteer group was founded by caring and concerned citizens of Virginia Beach who want to help the animals in our municipal shelter. Each year, the City of Virginia Beach takes thousands of unwanted, stray, surrendered or animals seized in enforcement actions into the municipal animal shelter. Many of these animals are friendly, healthy and highly adoptable and would make a wonderful addition to your family! Please visit our "Adoptable Pets" page to see the animals that are currently available for adoption at Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center.
Our thanks to Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc. for supporting our shelter and helping to keep our animals fed and healthy! Our shelter is now exclusively feeding Science Diet Brand pet Food.
